Alex Wright discovered his love of wine pouring bottles tableside at a fine-dining steakhouse in the Midwest, which sparked a passion for hospitality and grew into a 18-year career in the wine industry. That early love of the craft has carried Alex all the way to Heitz Cellar, the storied Napa Valley winery whose 1970 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet helped put California on the map at the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris. Today, as Mountain West Regional Sales Manager for Demeine Estates, Alex represents Heitz Cellar (among 22 other storied producers) across six states in the Rocky Mountain Region, sharing the same spirit of discovery — and pride in quality winemaking — that defined that legendary tasting fifty years ago.
