The Fiesta regulations, policies and procedures are continually being reviewed, are fully subject to change, and are revised in accordance with the most current public health information and direction from local governance.

How should I prepare for the climate in Santa Fe?
Take it easy. Santa Fe’s high altitude (7,198 feet above sea level) means the air is thinner – with less oxygen. It usually takes about 48 hours to adjust and staying hydrated helps.
The high altitude in Santa Fe affects everyone to a certain degree. You may find yourself a little short of breath or slightly more fatigued than usual.
Use sunscreen and wear a hat. Please bring sunscreen and/or a hat since the sun’s rays are stronger at the higher altitude. Santa Fe is closer to the sun, and the sun shines 300 days of the year.
It is wise to drink plenty of water when you arrive in Santa Fe until your body has adjusted (we suggest at least 8 glasses of water a day).
Alcohol can and does affect people more quickly at this altitude so please be responsible and consider this as you consume at the various events.
What if I have a food allergy?
As we invite restaurants to participate in SFWCF, we encourage them to provide an item that highlights their signature style and showcases their cuisine.
At this point many of our restaurants are in the early stages of planning their Fiesta offering but have likely not settled on a menu item and/or its ingredients.
The participating restaurants are listed on our website but what they are serving is subject to variables that often change as they plan for the event and which we unfortunately cannot control.
If food allergies are a concern, please check with each restaurant before you consume.
What should I wear?
SFWCF presents attendees with a chance to show off their Santa Fe style across a broad range of fashion choices. Dress to impress but keep it comfortable and casual. Shoes that do well in grass are a “must” – so you may want to consider alternatives to high heels. In recent years, high style cowboy hats and boots have been favorable, functional and fun fashion choices.
Santa Fe’s weather is generally very pleasant in late September with temperatures ranging from the mid 70’s to the low 80’s. It is typically sunny, so be sure to apply sunscreen and have a hat for better protection against our high altitude sun.
Are children or infants allowed?
Unfortunately for safety reasons, all attendees must be 21 years old. Children and infants are not allowed.
Are dogs or pets allowed?
For the safety and comfort of everyone attending, only registered service animals are allowed.
