DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY, KOSTA BROWNE AND GOLDENEYE
Growing up, Paige Dana had the opportunity to call many places home. Born in Minnesota, she later lived in Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Washington D.C. She attended Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Massachusetts to earn her degrees in Theater and European Studies, and by the time she eventually moved to New York City in 2006, she’d only just gotten started.
In a former life, Paige was an actor and writer shuttling between New York and Washington D.C. until serendipity brought her under the guidance of two great mentors while working at the wine bar Grape & Bean in Alexandria, Virginia; one a general manager studying to be a master sommelier, the other a Swedish wine importer of Spanish wines. These mentors inspired her to start a path into the professional wine world and she never looked back.
After her hands-on education in the ways of wine tasting and wine business, she landed a string of roles in Washington, DC, restaurants. First, she was a wine buyer and a consultant before landing a job at Ripple, run by Marjorie Meek-Bradley of Top Chef fame. She went on to be the Wine Director and Assistant General Manager for Kimpton Hotels, first in D.C., then in Denver, Colorado. Before joining the Kosta Browne team, she served as Beverage Director for CUT by Wolfgang Puck in Beverly Hills.
Paige had her first taste of Kosta Browne while hosting a wine dinner in Washington, DC. The excellent sampling of California and Oregon Pinots served that evening spurred her interest in Pinot. It has been a great pleasure to include Kosta Browne on several of her wine lists while working as a Beverage Director. She considered herself lucky to pour Kosta Browne wines as a sommelier and considers herself even luckier now to work for the winery itself.
In 2023 had the pleasure of joining the Goldeneye Hospitality Team and shares her time between Anderson Valley and in Sebastopol at Kosta Browne.
Paige loves how wine brings people together. She enjoys working in the wine trade where there are so many different facets to its operation and different areas to explore. She says it is the perfect industry for curious people.
Paige basks in the genuine excitement of being part of an industry with other people who support one another and each other’s wineries, qualities that really shine through in Sonoma wine country where neighbors are more than willing to band together to help each other. The warmth and kindness shared in the wine industry make her proud to be a professional in the community.
